*Men's Group: Why Are You So Angry?

Are you a male who gets angry often? Do you hold on to anger for long periods of time? Are you allowing anger to control you? If your anger seems to be an issue that you are dealing with, we have a group for you!

Come join other men who are dealing with the same concerns, learn skills to handle your intense emotions, and listen to other men's stories of triumph on how they dealt with their issues of anger.

*GRIEF: Working Through the Process of Loss

This group, led by Ms. Katrina Billingsley, M.A.,  is geared towards individuals who are in the process of dealing with their grief of losing a loved one. Each session will be a safe, caring environment that will help individuals work through their loss. Sessions are offered one day a week for six weeks and focus on real issues faced by individuals who are trying to manage their grief. Participants will:

*learn about the stages of grief

*learn to forgive themselves and find peace

 *learn to accept the loss they have experienced

 *learn to grieve in their own way

When: Mondays

*LOVING YOU: Being Your Best Self and Getting the Love You Desire

This group, led by Ms. Katrina Billingsley, M.A.,  is geared towards individuals who are in need of a better way to function within their love relationships. Each session will be a safe, caring environment that will help individuals access what is working and what is not working. Sessions are offerened one day a week for six weeks and focus on real issues people face in making love work. Participants will:

*learn how to commmunicate effectively with their partner

*learn strategies that will allow for emotional and spiritual growth

 *learn what they need in order to have a healthy relationship

 *begin to understand why their relationships are not working

When: Saturdays

*ACHIEVEMENT: Focusing On and Accomplishing Your Goals

This group, led by Ms. L. Camille Braxton, M.Ed., LPCA, NCC, will provide an environment for individuals to focus and develop short term and long term goals. Individuals will focus on: Where am I in my life? Where would I like to be? Am I currently implementing steps in which I can accomplish my goals? This group will provide a safe and confidential environment where participants can feel supported by liked individuals who are currently at a fork in the road and are unsure of how to accomplish what they would like to accomplish in life. Sessions are offered one day a week for six weeks. Participants will:

*learn the process and importance of setting long term and short term goals

*develop goals and begin the implementation of accomplishing goals

 *improve organizational skills

When: Thursdays, from August 2nd to September 6th

*STRESS MANAGEMENT: How to Cope with Stress and Improve Well-Being

This group, led by Mr. Eric Mayhew, M.S., LPC, will increase insight into the causes of stress and provide a supportive environment for discussion of the impacts of stress on your life. Individuals will learn effective techniques

*develop more awareness of how stress impacts their life

*learn how to reduce vulnerability to stress

 *practice effective relaxation and mindfulness techniques

 *create a personalized wellness plan

When: Tuesdays, from August 21st to September 25th

*SOLAY Sisterhood: Teen Edition

Ms. Katrina Billingsley will host a series of discussions geared for girls aged 13 to 18. Sessions are offered one day a week for eight weeks and focus on real issues facing girls today--from dating to gossip. In a safe, educational, and fun environment, girls will explore and share their feelings about issues important to them, helping them to develop into young women with a strong sense of self. Participants will:

*learn the process and importance of making wise decisions

*enhance social relationships

*improve communication skills and

*develop positive character traits

*FEARLESS & FABULOUS: A Discussion on How to Have it All

Dr. Uzzell will lead a lively discussion focusing on relationships, self-esteem, self-perception and secrets to getting everything you want out of life.

*IN SESSION: An In-depth look into therapy

Drs. Kornegay and Uzzell will present an engaging and informational seminar on the processes and benefits of therapy.  They will answer your questions and dispel the myths.

*LIFE COACHING: What is it and Who needs it?

Athletes get it, entertainers get it, and you've seen it on all of the reality shows.  What exactly is life coaching and how can it benefit me?  Come hear Dr. Uzzell explain what her role is as a life coach and how life coaching can help you get to where you want to be.

*HOW TO CONDUCT AN EFFECTIVE JOB SEARCH

Ms. Billingsley will lead this seminar to help individuals map out their career path. She will provide assistance with self-assessment, exploring interests, skills, values, and personality preferences related to career choice.  Additionally, assistance with cover letters and resumes will be provided.  Join Ms. Billingsley in creating an action plan to help secure employment.
